We continued to be inspired, crafting herbal skincare using plants as medicine in soaps, oils, butters, and salves, each one a bridge between ancestral knowledge and our skin's own intelligence.

Chris sources, and formulates every serum in the Urban Bubble line. Drawing on her training as an EthnoHerbalist and Formulator, she works with whole plants, infusing flowers, roots, bark, and resins into organic cold-pressed oils, coaxing their full medicinal wisdom into every bottle.

Gen sources, and handcrafts every bar of Urban Bubble soap — small-batch, botanical, and intentional. Carrying forward the tradition she and Chris learned from their mother, Gen's soaps are deeply nourishing, botanical formulas that honour our skin's natural balance and the healing legacy of whole plants.
HOW WE WORK
A slow, meditative practice.
Retrieving plant medicine, in a good way, is a slow and delicate process. Our unique method is a transformative and uplifting one that brings the healing powers of plants into daily life.
Gather
We source organic and wildcrafted botanicals rooted in African-American and Indigenous traditions. Flowers, leaves, roots, bark, and resins are grown and gathered with intention and care.

Infuse
Plants are gently coaxed into organic, cold-pressed botanical oils. The mixture rests for up to one month, sometimes with gentle heat, allowing the full medicinal wisdom of the plant to transfer.

Bless
Plant material is carefully strained, leaving behind a diverse array of medicinal compounds. Each batch is blessed with good intentions before becoming the foundation of our serums and soaps.
